Rhythms & Relics: Photography by Tim Fries
Tuesday, January 3 through Tuesday, February 14
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily

A statement from the artist:

I have always been inspired by and in awe of the natural world; how it projects an aura of permanence but is ever changing. This awe not only permeates my photographic work, but also led me to study and find a career in landscape architecture.  Landscape architecture involves not only the study of plants and the environment, but also how humans interact with them. The study and exploration of this interaction has greatly influenced my photography.

I strive to find beauty in unexpected places; buildings and fields that most people would pass by without a second glance. When explored, these forgotten places provide rich material for artistic creation. Sometimes, what is left behind and abandoned says more about us than what we choose to preserve.
