The Holidays in Miniature
December 14 through 16, 2018
9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily
The Omaha-Council Bluffs Miniature
Guild (OCBMG) was organized in November 1978 as a National Association of
Miniature Enthusiasts (NAME) charter club and, this year, the club celebrates
its 40th anniversary. The OCBMG is a group of people whose hobby is
collecting and making miniatures. Their goal is to link people of like minds in
order to share their love of the hobby that captivates them. The effort of many
hands, minds, and talents embodies the NAME motto: "Only through sharing can we
really enjoy our treasures."
OCBMG members create individual
miniatures, scenes or room boxes, and provide workshops and/or presentations to
educate the community about their craft.
This exhibit will showcase an
assortment of wee holiday miniatures that have been handmade by club members or
have been used to develop scenes and centerpieces for different holiday
celebrations. There will be a host/hostess on hand to answer questions and help
guide guests in viewing the miniatures.
