2017 LAURITZEN GARDENS PLANT SALE
Located on the festival garden lawn  

Members-Only Plant Sale – Friday, May 13 from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

Plant Sale open to the public – Saturday, May 14 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

PARTICIPATING GARDEN CLUBS AND ENVIRONMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS
(list will be continuously updated) 

Benson Plant Rescue- recycles overstock plants from area retailers and local gardeners. They sell as wide variety of plants in pots and containers. Proceeds raised by this all-volunteer organization benefit the Omaha Public Library. Providing information and selling plants.

City of Omaha Stormwater Program- Stormwater runoff is a significant source of pollution, erosion, and other issues in our environment. Green infrastructure utilizes soil, water, and plants together to manage rain where it lands rather than moving it away as quickly as possible. We will be providing information and resources on various green rain harvesting. We will also be sharing our brand new website, OmahaPlants.org, which will highlight native and well-adapted plants to the Omaha area that can be used in a variety of settings, such as rain gardens or xeric gardens.

City Sprouts- sustaining community through gardening. Will have herbs, perennials, annuals and vegetables for sale.

Greater Omaha Iris Society- dedicated to the promotion and education of the iris flower and the maintenance of the Sass Memorial Garden at Mahoney State Park.  

Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail- Since 1916, the American people have entrusted the National Park Service with the care of their national parks. With the help of volunteers and park partners, we are proud to safeguard these more than 400 places and to share their stories with more than 275 million visitors every year. The National Park Service will present a tabletop display featuring the National Park Service and the Lewis & Clark Historic Trail, including information and items on the significance of plants to the Lewis & Clark Expedition, and a garden activity.

Nebraska Daylily Society- promotes and educates people on the beauty and ease of growing daylilies. Selling bare root daylily plants.

Nebraska Nutgrowers Association/Heartland Nuts 'N More- The Nebraska Nut Growers Association is a leading nut grower organization in the Midwest that promotes the growing of cultivar nuts like black walnut, pecan, hickory, hazelnut, and Northern pecan. Providing information and selling nuts and nut products grown in Nebraska.

Nebraska Sustainable Agriculture Society- Promoting agriculture and food systems that build healthy land, people, communities and quality of life, for present and future generations. Will provide information about organic farming and gardening education and outreach.

Omaha Bee Club- Helping local beekeepers to be successful in their beekeeping endeavors. Club members will bring an observation hive and answer questions about bees and beekeeping for guests and members. 

Shady Choice Hosta Society- Serves eastern Nebraska and western Iowa with growing tips, garden planning, idea exchange, plants and friendship. Displaying and selling hostas and providing information on growing hostas.
