Summer Adventure Day Camps provide a unique learning
experience for children
years of age where they will learn science concepts and interact with nature through
hands-on activities, arts and crafts and more in indoor and outdoor settings.
Camp formats include:
Half-day (9 a.m. to noon OR 1 to 4 p.m.)
Full-day (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
Full-day only (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
Additional hours at no extra charge
Early drop-off is available from 8 to 9 a.m. and late pick up
from 4 to 5 p.m.

Binoculars, magnifying glasses and adventures in the garden...
oh my! Campers will get up close and personal with the living things that call
the garden home, make fun and educational crafts and experience engaging
activities while exploring the garden. This camp is for ages 4-12 years.

EDIBLES | JUNE 4-8 or JULY 16-20
Campers will explore the world with their tastebuds,
find out how insects and animals help plants grow, and much more! Campers will
make snacks, pot a plant to take home, and explore how people and animals eat
plant parts across the globe. This camp is for ages 4-12 years.

From the colors on a caterpillar to the patterns on a
woodpecker, to the shape of a
cottonwood leaf, incredible examples of nature's artwork can be
found throughout the garden. Campers will explore the garden and create
exciting, educational art projects. This unique camp is for ages 4-12 years and
is sure to inspire wonder and creativity!

DEFENDERS | JUNE 11-15 or JUNE 25-29
Participants will discover ways that they can help keep the Earth
healthy and earn an Earth Defender badge for completing this camp! Campers will
learn about recycling, how to reuse products from home to create new items, and
how to conserve nature as they experience both Lauritzen Gardens and Fontenelle Forest. This camp is for ages 5-12 years.

DIRTY JOBS |
JULY 9-13 or JULY 23-27
Have you ever wondered how dirty, grimy and grubby you can get
working at the zoo or at a botanical garden? Campers will see what it takes to
keep Lauritzen Gardens and Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo
& Aquarium running as they learn about the fun and dirty jobs involved in
keeping the garden areas and animal exhibits in great shape. This camp is for
ages 5-12 years.
