Experience the excitement of opening night while enjoying cocktails & hors d'oeuvres served amid breathtaking gardens and magnificent antiques, and be among the first to shop the show.  

  

Friday, September 19, 2014 | Show open 10 a.m.  

  

All Day | Designer Day - All designers receive free show admission by presenting their business cards.   

  

10:30 to 11:15 a.m. | Shop the Show with Mary McDonald 

$30 per person includes show admission all three days. Reservations required.  

Shop the Show is an informal, intimate tour with Mary McDonald. It is a special opportunity to take a "design eye" into the booths, and hear different perspectives on the many ways some of the fabulous antiques may be used in the home. The tour is a highlight of the show for many shoppers. 

  

11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. | Luncheon and Lecture featuring Mary McDonald 

This event is SOLD OUT. Please call Merri Sears at (402) 346-4002, ext. 201 for more information 

$75 per reservation, $125 per patron reservation. Reservations required. 

Patron reservation includes a potted plant in a custom terracotta mug. Does NOT include preferred seating. Mary will sign copies of her books immediately following the lecture.

This lively and educational 20-minute lecture with Beau Kimball from Kimball & Bean Garden Antiques is free with admission to the Antique & Garden Show.  

  

3:30 to 3:50 p.m. |Antique Academy: "Collecting With Passion" 

This lively and educational 20-minute lecture with Tom Fortner from Thomas M. Fortner Antiques is free with admission to the Antique & Garden Show.  

  

  

Saturday, September 20, 2014 | Show open 9 a.m.  

  

10:30 a.m. to noon | Lecture featuring The Right Honorable Lady Fiona Carnarvon 

$50 per reservation, $75 per preferred seating reservation. Reservations required. A limited number of preferred seats are available. Please make your reservation in a timely manner to ensure your preference. Your receipt is not a guarantee of preferred seating. Lecture only. Book signing with Lady Carnarvon following the lecture. 

  

Meet the real Mistress of the hit PBS television series "Downton Abbey." Lady Carnarvon will take us through the history of Highclere Castle where "Downton Abbey" is filmed, and share fascinating stories from diaries, letters and photos kept over centuries. 

  

1:30 to 1:50 p.m. |Antique Academy: "Antique Jewelry: From Downton to Gatsby" 

This lively and educational 20-minute lecture with Borsheims Fine Jewelry & Gifts is free with admission to the Antique & Garden Show.  

  

3 to 5 p.m. |Take Tea with Lady Carnarvon 

$200 ticket -Reservations required. Space is limited for this exclusive opportunity. 

  

Join Lady Carnarvon for an intimate tea party where she will share secrets and fun facts not otherwise publicized. Reservations include show admission all three days, a copy of each of Lady Carnarvon's books, and new & interesting details about life in the castle. 

  

3:30 to 3:50 p.m. |Antique Academy: "Decorative English Tableware" 

This lively and educational 20-minute lecture with Katherine Griffith from Katherine Walker Griffith Antiques is free with admission to the Antique & Garden Show.  

  

  

Sunday, September 21, 2014 | Show open 11 a.m.    

  

11 a.m. to 2 p.m. | Mimosa Sunday  

Free with paid show admission.  Garden Members attend free of charge.    

Enjoy a complimentary champagne cocktail while shopping the show. While supplies last. 

  

11 a.m. to 3 p.m. | What's It Worth? Appraisal Clinic    

Conducted by Jackson's International Auctioneers & Appraisers of Fine Art and Antiques   

$15 per session with paid show admission. Reservations encouraged.    

Have one to three items appraised during a five-minute verbal session. Large items can be examined by photograph.  

  

11:30 a.m. | Cooking Demonstration with the Institute for the Culinary Arts at Metropolitan Community College. 

Members $15 per person; Non-Members $30 per person including show admission.  Reservations encouraged. 

  

Chef Brian O'Malley and his team from the Institute for the Culinary Arts at Metropolitan Community College will present a cooking demonstration and provide tips on how to prepare a light Sunday brunch. Be prepared to sample his handiwork. This event is dedicated to the memory of Suzanne Scott, an avid chef and tireless community supporter.  

1:30 to 1:50 p.m. |Antique Academy: "Everything You Need to Know About Antiques in 15 Minutes" 

This lively and educational 20-minute lecture with Trace Mayer from Trace Mayer Antiques is free with admission to the Antique & Garden Show. 

  

2 p.m. | Garden Walking Tour  

A docent will lead visitors on an informational walking tour of Lauritzen Gardens' 100-acre property. Free with paid show admission. Tours will gather near the event tent.  

  

3:30 to 3:50 p.m. |Antique Academy: "Protecting Your Investment- Caring For Antiques" 

This lively and educational 20-minute lecture with Robert Morrissey from Robert Morrissey Antiques & Fine Art is free with admission to the Antique & Garden Show.
