Ghoulish Garden Adventure

Sunday, October 18, 2020 | Noon to 4 p.m.  
 
Just in time for Halloween, experience a Ghoulish Garden Adventure at Lauritzen Gardens. Explore a variety of educational and fun activity stations throughout the garden. Learn about the mysteries of nature, get up close and personal with the amazing creatures that make the fall so festive, and make your very own crafts to take home. Activities are included with paid garden admission of $10 for adults and $5 for children 3-12. Garden members and children under the age of two are admitted free of charge.

2020 activities:

- Spooktacular Photo Booth

- Fall/Halloween themed storyboards and activity boards throughout the gardens

- Creepy Crawlies with "The Bug Guy"
   
- Trick or Treat throughout the gardens
     
- Live Birds with Raptor Recovery- Learn about the incredible adaptations of predatory birds and meet some special feathered friends
            
     

- Model Railroad Garden Ghost Town    
   
- Wicked Plants Wonderland- Discovery how plants defend themselves in the wild   
     
- Enchanted Tales Storytime with the Omaha Public Library

- Creepy Crafts to take home    

- Anatomy of a pumpkin discovery station

- Compare costumes with members of the Central Garrison unit of the 501st Legion

Activities will be indoors and outdoors. Costumes are optional, but fun is mandatory! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Bring a camera to take memorable snap shots and a trick-or-treat sack to collect ghoulish goodies!
