Sandhill Crane Migration Trip

March 19 and 20, 2024

Journey along the Platte River valley and experience hundreds of thousands of beautiful Sandhill cranes during their majestic spring migration.

As the sun sets, the quiet prairie river comes to life as over 600,000 cranes settle along the river after foraging in fields all day. The following morning, watch the Sandhill cranes fill the sky as they lift off from the river as the sun rises. The sights and sounds are amazing to behold! This is a must-see tour where you will enjoy one of nature's treasures, and is also a great chance for unique birding and photography opportunities.

Both relaxing and educational, the tour includes two private viewings (sunset and sunrise) of the Sandhill cranes at
Rowe Sanctuary in Kearney, Neb. and The Crane Trust, transportation, hotel accommodations, meals and snacks.

Rates- Include all applicable activities, fees and taxes
A single occupancy room is $425
/member and $450/non-member. Double-occupancy rates are $375/member and $400/non-member.

Registration and payment are due by February 20. You may also register by emailing m.burianek@omahabotanicalgardens.org or calling (402) 346-4002, ext. 263.
