What's In Bloom?
The winter garden is full of texture from ornamental grasses, barks, and seed pods. The Marjorie K. Daugherty Conservatory is bursting with lush, green foliage in the tropical house, while the floral display hall is full of colorful poinsettias.

Washed Ashore: Art to Save the Sea
Giant sculptures of sea life, made from marine debris collected on Oregon's beaches, graphically illustrate the tragedy of plastic pollution in our ocean and waterways. The epic exhibit includes a titanic triggerfish, a pair of grand penguins, and an 11-foot-long shark named Chompers! More than a set of eye-catching sculptures, these thought-provoking pieces are designed to inspire conversations about conservation and generate positive changes and behaviors towards the environment.

To Albert Rhea, wildlife photography is magical because it takes him into a universe of vibrant colors, exquisite details and extraordinary patterns that can literally take your breath away. This is especially the case when capturing birds and butterflies, which provide an incredible variety of shapes and colors. This exhibit focuses on the vulnerability of wildlife species and their role as indicators of the health of various ecosystems.

Washed Ashore Community Clean-up
Join Lauritzen Gardens for a community clean-up event in honor of our new exhibit Washed Ashore and in partnership with Keep Omaha Beautiful. This clean-up will be held on garden property at the river front. Prepare yourself to see a unique version of Omaha’s history through the trash that’s left behind and take part in the amazing effort to clean up our local environment. FREE to participate. Registration is required.

Sandhill Crane Migration Bus Tour
THIS EXPERIENCE IS SOLD OUT. To be placed on a wait list, email your contact information to c.jacobsen@omahabotanicalgardens.org. Journey along the Platte River Valley and experience hundreds of thousands of beautiful Sandhill cranes in their majestic migration. In the Gallery: Beyond the Golden Garden Wall by Anthony Deon Brown
Anthony Deon paints surrealistic imagery in acrylic on canvas, predominantly occupied by an array of colorful subjects with simple, but intense color palettes. This show gives the viewer a sneak peek into what Deon sees when he closes his eyes, finding peace and tranquility in a place in his mind called "Garden of Dhya."

Omaha Rose Society's Rose Day and Show
Join the Omaha Rose Society for their annual Rose Day and Show, to promote the culture and appreciation of the rose. Gardeners from throughout the region will exhibit a variety of superb rose blooms grown in their home gardens. Guests can also explore the rose garden to see more than 200 cultivars of garden roses and visit with rosarians to learn about roses and their care.

Summer Solstice Lecture: "Beauty of the Wild" with Darrel Morrison
This detailed lecture will present the people and places that have influenced or inspired Darrel Morrison throughout his 50+ year career teaching and designing nature-based landscapes. These include Jens Jensen, Aldo Leopold, the one-time prairie landscapes of southwest Iowa, the restored tallgrass prairies at the University of Wisconsin; among others. $15, $10 for garden members. Fee includes a dessert reception and book signing after the lecture. Reservations are required.

Thousands of poinsettias bursting with rich, vibrant color fill the floral display hall in a glowing tribute to the holidays during the spectacular holiday poinsettia show, Merry & Bright. Last daytime entry is at 3:45 p.m.

Bright Nights
Set a merry mood with friends and family and explore the illuminated indoor gardens. From a 20’ tall poinsettia tree to a tropical paradise, see festive installations that glow and shine, showcasing nature in a new light. Timed tickets are required for this event.
